Arrive and Depart to/from Israel

Competitors and Visitors

 

Israel is connected with direct flights with all major cities of Europe, Asia, America etc. "Ben Gurion" (TLV) international airport is located just few kilometers outside of TelAviv. You can combine your flight tickets with a rent-a-car booking.

You will need to arrive in Israel one day before the start of the Official program of the race and to depart one day after the end of it.

Competitors or authorised persons that will go to Haifa Port in order to conduct clearence from Israeli Customs Office, must arrive in Israel at least three days before the start of the race. There is always the possibility to authorize a person from race Organization to make all necessary paperwork for Customs Office Clearence (check below paragraph "vehicles")

Please note that in order to travel in Israel you must have in valid Passport that expires not less than 6 months from the date of your departure. Check also if you need a Visa or not by clicking here.

Citizens of E.U. countries don't need Visa but only valid Passport.

Vehicles & Spare Parts

Organizers suggest two options for vehicle's transportation by ferry to Israel. Note that ferries do not have cabins so you cannot travel with them. Ferrie from Italy need 7-10 days to reach Haifa Port. Ferries from LAVRIO PORT, Athens Greece, need 4-7 days to reach Haifa Port.

VEHICLES PRE-DEPOSIT AREAS

Organizers in order to facilitate competitors have established "pre-deposit areas" in European cities in order vehicles to be collected for transportation. Contact Kostas by email or by phone (or WhatsApp) for more information and deadlines.

a) ITALY - Massarosa (LU) - March 1st Last day to collect vehicles

b) GREECE - Thessaloniki - March 8th Last day to collect vehicles

c) GREECE - Komotini - March 1st Last day to collect vehicles

d) GREECE - Athens (Lavrio Port) March 14th Last day to present vehicles

VEHICLE'S and SPARE PARTS DOCUMENTS NEEDED for Customs Office Clearence:

- ATA Carnet for vehicle and spare parts. ATA Carnet is issued by the Chamber of Commerce of your country. ATA Carnet must include transit pages (apart all other). ATA Carnet must be issued at the name of vehicle's owner and on the name of the person that is authorised to make Customs Office clearence in Haifa Port in Israel. Authorization Letter for LAVRIO port GREECE, original copy, (click to download) on the name of the person that is authorised to make Customs Office clearence in Lavrio Port, Athens, Greece.

- Authorization Letter for HAIFA port ISRAEL, original copy, (click to download) on the name of the person that is authorised to make Customs Office clearence in Haifa Port in Israel

- Passport colored copy of vehicle's owner

- Passport colored copy of vehicle's driver (competitor)

- Driving License, colored copy, of vehicle's driver (competitor)

- Vehicle's Registration, colored copy

- Green Card Insurance, colored copy

All the above original documents must be always present during your stay in Israel.

Please note that Spare Parts and tools must be listed in detail on ATA CARNET. (description, quantity, etc).

Lavrio Customs

ATHENS - ISRAEL - ATHENS

(Lavrio Port - Haifa Port - Lavrio Port)

1.150,00 EURO per car

(until 5 meters length and 5000 kg weight) 

In price are NOT included:

a) Parking Fees in Lavrio Port (if any)

b) Insurance during the trip

b) Expenses in Haifa Port (550-600 Euro)

FERRY TERMS & CONDITIONS – THE RATES ARE SUBJECT TO:

 

  • Standard Terms & Conditions as specified in Salamis Line’s Bill of Lading

  • Space availability at the time of shipment

  • Vessel is not responsible for misdeclaration of Registration / chassis / serial number(s)

  • Agents/Ship/Owners are not responsible for any damages to the used or new cars

  • The Shipping Line is not responsible for any parts or belongings inside or outside the cars

  • Shipping Applications must be fully completed with all details and must be provided before

booking confirmation, otherwise NO booking is confirmed.

In case of any penalty for any changes/discrepancies other than the Shipping     

Declaration,

the same will be charged to the shipper/consignee.

  • Cargo must be accompanied with related documents or any other Customs official document

  • Any delay of cargo arrival at the port of loading, can either be rejected and/or might imposed to extra

expenses / penalties or other charges

  • Rates are based / valid on the cargo dimensions & weight as declared 

  • Port Storages are excluded     -  on shipper’s / receiver’s A/C

  • Cargo Insurance is excluded  -  on shipper’s / receiver’s A/C

  • For arrival time of the cargo at Limasol Port and Haifa port, and collection of Customs documentation,please liaise directly with our office in Limasol  Salamis Shipping Services Ltd. at Tel.  +35725899999, and in Haifa – A. Rosenfeld Shipping Ltd at Tel. +97248613613 for coordination and assistance.

  • For any cancellation 24 hours prior sailing, full freight will be charged

  • Vessel is not a ferry boat and NO passenger cabins or related facilities can be provided

  • The shipping Line reserves the right to adjust the freights & surcharges prior any booking

confirmation and acceptance

  • The Shipping Line reserves the right of vessels alternation with or without any prior notice

  • The Shipping Line is not responsible for any delays due to force Majeure

  • Payment Terms:  unless otherwise stated in writing, all charges arising from the shipment must be settled in CASH against release of B/L or Delivery Order 

  • All RATES will be valid ONLY when you send to us booking instructions within 30 days
